The CHARM Biobank

The CHARM Consortium Biobank facilitates storage and use of blood specimens, tumour specimens, their genetic material, and clinical health information for use in future research focused on early cancer detection, cancer monitoring, and/or cancer treatment.

CHARM1

The purpose of the CHARM1 study is to develop an effective and sensitive blood test that can detect cancer early in individuals with a known or suspected hereditary cancer syndrome. This test is looking at the cDNA in the blood for markers of cancer.

CHARM2

The purpose of CHARM2 is to understand the performance of our experimental blood test. We will compare whether cancer can be detected using our blood test at the same time, or earlier, than current recommended cancer screening protocols.

CHARM Global

The Global CHARM Program brings together international collaborators to advance research in early cancer detection, monitoring, and treatment through innovative genomic technologies. This worldwide network will securely share data, tools, and expertise to accelerate early cancer detection.
